How long has Nazeing Glass been trading?
    Glassmaking started on this site in 1928 and the company was registered in 1931.  The factory shop was built up during the 1980's and started trading online in 2009.
What types of payment do you accept?
    Credit or debit card payments using PayPal. Using PayPal, either by having a PayPal account or by entering a credit or debit card, means we do not store your personal information, all processing is done by PayPal which is safe and secure.

If you do not wish to enter payment details online you can telephone and pay by card during opening hours (9.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Fri and 9.30am to 3.00pm Sats)

When will my order be delivered?
    We always try to despatch goods within 1 to 2 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) and unless you have chosen the economy delivery option you should receive your glass within 24 hours of despatch. If for any reason we cannot despatch immediately we'll email or telephone you. For orders under 50 an economy delivery option is offered, which if chosen can take up to 10 working days.
Are all of your products in stock?
    The current stock level is shown next to the price on each product. If we do not have stock it will say "Out of Stock". We do try to have all products in stock at any time, but sometimes items do sell out quickly. If you need to know when an item is expected back in stock you can use the "Contact Us" enquiry form and we'll give you our best guess of when it will be back in stock, however we can only estimate as our suppliers sometimes deliver earlier or later than expected.
Are all your products made on site?
    No, although some of the glassware in the shop was made here, our factory produces mainly industrial glassware now.  Many of the domestic items for sale have been made by other glass producers from around the world.
Can I return an item?
    It is your legal right to return anything bought online for a full refund, provided it is returned within 7 days.  If it is faulty or broken we will also refund the cost of postage (and replace it with a good one instead of a refund, if you wish)
Is the glass you sell cheaper because it is seconds quality?
    No, all the glassware you see under the headings cut crystal, plain, vases, etc. is brand new first quality glassware from the manufacturer, none of it is seconds quality.  We do sell seconds, but mostly in the physical shop so that customers can see and handle what they are buying.  Any seconds available online are very clearly identified as such with detailed descriptions of why they are so classified.
If I requested an item made of glass would you be able to make it there? i.e. a wedding cake stand?
    No, not really. Although we do make glass, our factory manufactures items in hundreds and thousands, not individual pieces, the cost of setup and tooling would be too much.  You would need to contact a studio glassmaker for a custom made piece.
Do you offer a price match promise?
    No, we just try and sell our products at the best prices possible, all of the time.  We are aware that some of our competitors do offer this, but you will often find a condition that excludes matching Factory Shop outlets (i.e. matching our prices).  We can usually offer slightly better prices as our overheads are lower than those of a high street store.  The only exception to this is Royal Scot Crystal who set the selling prices of their glassware.
Do you offer a gift wrapping service?
    You can send someone a gift by entering their name and address as the Delivery Address and your own as the Billing Address.
We do stock a limited range of gift paper and tags for personal callers and can provide this service if required - please call for details.
